Amid community concern regarding Englewood School Board candidate Davon Williams’ criminal background and outstanding arrest warrant, residents have also raised concerns over explicit website domain names listed on his company website.
Williams is running unopposed for one of two open seats on the Englewood School Board.
On Nov. 2, the Englewood Police Department confirmed that they are trying to locate Williams to arrest him for an active Adams County arrest warrant that has been active since January 2020, according to the Adams County Combined Court Records Department.
In a Nov. 2 email to the Englewood Herald, Williams said, “I have counsel dealing with this. No comment.”
Additionally, a list of website domain names linked through the D3hosts.com section (warning: site contains explicit language) of Williams’ main business site for his company, Canberra Partners, has also been questioned by people through social media for seemingly implying explicit content. When clicked, the domains with explicit language display an error code with no content.
The Englewood Herald asked questions about the domain names in an Oct. 24 email sent to Williams’ campaign email address and an email address he had used previously, and received no reply.
As news of his past has spread, Williams’ “team” posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Everyone has a past, and the candidate is no different.”
Records show that Williams’ active arrest warrant is for a 2019 allegation of “aggravated motor vehicle theft second degree” in Westminster.
Affidavits from Denver and Adams County courts, as well as records from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, show a list of charges against Williams going back more than a decade. They include felony convictions for aggravated motor vehicle theft and theft.
