DeWitt, N.Y. — It’s been more than two years since a local development group announced plans to transform the shuttered ShoppingTown Mall into District East, a mixed-use complex with residential, retail, entertainment and office space.
The $400 million development promises to turn the dead mall into a thriving place where people live, work, shop and play, boasting more than 900 housing units and nearly 2 million square feet of leasable space.
